Rainbows

In Rainbows, our learning is hands-on and exciting!

Welcome to Rainbows web-page. We spend a lot of time in the outside area; exploring the woods or getting messy in the sandpit. We choose our own learning through a variety of activities during Discovery Time and always try to challenge ourselves.

Spring Term

In Rainbows, we are very lucky because the children decide and choose what happens to their classroom every week. Pirates, dinosaurs, trolls, Chinese New Year, Mother's Day and Easter will most certainly appear but nobody really knows what else will pop up in the term.

The class are also continuing to make a floor book which children add photographs and comments to each week. The book shows the fun we are having and our learning. We will be sharing this with you later in the year when we have an open session for parents and carers. Please look out for dates in the diary after half term.

Each child now has a reading book, library book and maths game. Reading books are checked daily so these need to be brought in each day please and the library books and maths games are changed on a Tuesday (Choosing Tuesday).

Read with me on a Friday morning is a fifteen minute session at drop off when you can share books with your child in class. Look out for it on the newsletters.

If you want to get in touch please catch me at the gate after school.

23 March 2018 Update

Well done everyone! You all did a wonderful job on the Sport Relief walk. I am sorry I missed it but I have heard so many good things. Thank you Mr Hayward for organising this and the cycle event to Lands End.

Hope you all enjoyed the PTFA Easter Party. It looked like lots of fun. Looking forward to hearing all the best bits on Monday. Thank you to all the families and PTFA who organised this.

Finally, please get in touch with me if you have friends and family who might want to come in and share a hobby or a job they do. Can you knit, or have a special craft to share with us? Do you have a special skill? It could be for an afternoon or just an hour. We would love to see lots of different people from the community.
