David in the cave

Last week we learnt about David who defeated Goliath and saved the Israelites. When he did this he became very popular. Saul was the king at that point and he got very jealous that David was so popular. David had to run away and hide in a cave because he was scared Saul would kill him.

But David wasn't alone. God was with him. God helped David and sent him what he needed.

We are stuck in our caves (houses!) at the moment, but we can remember that God is with us too.

A reflection:

He wakes me up; He makes me sleep.
Provides for me the food I eat.
When I cry, I call on him,
Because I know with him I win.
Even through the hardest day,
I trust in him in every way.
He's the One who sees me through,
Jesus lives, I know it's true.
With loving kindness, he smiles on me.
Because he died, I am free.
Lord, for all, I thank you so,
I know you'll never let me go!

This is a dance group called iSing POP. They create and teach dances to songs which help us think about God. You might like to learn this song and dance with your family.
