St Matthew's is outstanding
We are delighted to tell you that our school has been judged outstanding in a recent church inspection. We were judged on the quality and effectiveness of our teaching and learning, leadership and management, collective worship and the Christian distinctiveness of the school. The school achieved the outstanding judgement in all four areas.
The inspector talked to children, parents, governors and staff. She scrutinised our data, attended worship and observed lessons. The children were the stars of the day, carefully explaining the work they do and their thoughts about spirituality. The staff were amazingly proud of them as they outlined their values and the way they use what they learn in school to help them in their daily lives.
The judgement is a recognition of a lot of hard work by children, staff, governors and parents and we are very proud.
