Fair Play Hockey!
St. Matthew's has been been involved in a hockey tournament against other Bordon schools
On Thursday 22nd October a group of children from Years 5 and 6 took part in a tournament. We had training over 5 weeks from CM sports coaches after school at Mill Chase Academy. On the day we played 4 games; we won 2 and lost 2. Although we came third, we were thrilled when they presented us with a trophy for fair play. This means we had good leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork over all 6 sessions. We all thought this was better than winning because it relates to our school values of achievement, friendship, respect and faith. At the end of the games a best player trophy was awarded for each school. Harry was surprised to hear that he was the best player and we were all really pleased for him.
