St Matthews proudly took part in a recent netball competition with two enthusiastic teams representing Years 3/4 and Years 5/6. Both teams played with determination and spirit, finishing in 4th place in their respective categories.

Throughout the tournament, the players demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and teamwork. Every child had the opportunity to play, with positions rotated and substitutions made by the children to ensure everyone was involved and supported. This inclusive approach not only helped build confidence but also allowed players to experience different roles on the court.

After watching the fast-paced game and cheering on their favorite teams, the children were guided through a beginner-friendly Quidditch workshop. They communicated clearly, supported one another, and quickly grasped the importance of cooperation on the field. Coaches and volunteers praised their enthusiasm and ability to work together, noting how well they adapted to the challenges of the game.

By the end of the session, the young participants had not only learned the fundamentals of Quidditch but also built confidence and camaraderie. It was a magical experience that brought the spirit of the wizarding world to life through play, learning, and shared adventure.
