    Rainbows enjoyed cooking marshmallows on the fire today. They all listened to the safety instructions and were very safe around the fire. The children then played some games and had some free time to choose what they wanted to do.

  • Apple Class 16.12.21

    Apple Class enjoyed doing lots of different activities today. Amelia found some sticks that she 'lashed' together to make a 'J' for Jesus. Some of the children tried fire lighting, and others were using the 'scramble net'. All of the children were busy and they were using their imaginations when playing their own Christmas games.

  • Willow Class 9.12.21

    Willow Class enjoyed building dens, using the tools and balancing on the 'slack line'. Some of the boys made stick people with moving limbs, and some of the girls enjoyed whittling. It was a lovely session with all of the children busy and engaged.

  • Apple Class 9.12.21

    Apple Class enjoyed lighting the fire today and cooking marshmallows. They also used the 'slack line' and 'scramble' net. Lots of the children made wood cookie Christmas decorations by sawing wood and drilling holes. All of the children were busy and focused, and it was lovely to see them use their creativity.

  • Oak Class 8.12.21

    Oak Class had a shorter Forest School session today. Some of the older children had made 'scavenger hunts' so we used these to find different natural objects around the Forest School site. The children enjoyed the activity, and were excited to try and find all of the things on their lists.

  • Sycamore 7.12.21

    Despite the wet weather conditions today, Sycamore had a lovely time in Forest School. Some of the children built dens so that they could shelter from the rain. Kiera enjoyed cocooning herself in the hammock! Some of the boys were whittling green wood, and Coben was teaching Bryce how to make a fishing spear. All of the children were busy and didn't complain about the rain or cold! Well done Sycamore!

  • Rainbows 3.12.21

    Rainbows enjoyed decorating pine cones this morning. They used paint and pom poms. Some of the children built dens using natural materials, and others were using the 'scramble net' like a parachute and bouncing the teddies on it. All of the children were busy, and they enjoyed exploring the woods.

    Willow Class really enjoyed using the 'slack line' today, most of the children had a go, and some of them managed to walk all the way across. The children also built a den using natural materials, and others put up the hammock. The children also enjoyed playing a few group games at the end of the session.

    Ash Class enjoyed using the 'slack line' today. Some of the children built an Elf workshop, and others were making Christmas decorations. The children were using their imaginations and pretending to be different Christmas characters.

    Oak Class enjoyed using the 'slack line' today, most of the children in the second group had a go. It was still a bit damp to use it first thing this morning. Some of the children made 'wood cookie' Christmas tree decorations, and others wanted to make a bow and arrow. All of the children were busy and didn't complain once about the cold weather!
