Rainbows 12.3.21

Nests

In Forest School today, we were talking about the stormy weather we had had. Rainbows were worried about the nesting birds and how they might have lost their homes due to high winds, so they decided to build bird's nests. We collected natural materials including moss (which they thought might be soft for the birds to sit on) and bent wood into a circular shape. Some of the children used mud and clay to stick materials together. Whilst out looking for the materials, we spotted lots of bird's nests, so we tried to make ours look like the ones we saw.
