Sycamore Forest School 7th October 2020

Today was a beautiful sunny afternoon in the forest! Mrs P set us the challenge of being able to light a fire and keep it lit for 5 minutes. That is harder than it sounds! We soon realised some things make a lot of smoke but don't really burn very well at all!

Mrs P had also made a saw horse and a tippy tap for us to use at forest school. We had to put these up in the forest too. We had to make sure they were securely in the ground. We used a mallet to hit them into the ground.

A few of us had a go at learning some knots. We started with the clove hitch. A few of us mastered it too!
