Oak class were learning about the tools that we use in Forest School. We talked about how to use the bow saw and palm drills safely and all of the children had a go at sawing wood. They made lots of different things with the wood including; stick puppets, necklaces and pretend marshmallows. Some of the children had a go at using the palm drills to make holes in their wood, whilst others decided to make  a band with their friends, and created musical instruments out of sticks and logs. We tried hitting different trees to see if they made different noises.
